My mother is a woman who has always shared her home and heart with many dogs. She bred pit bulls when I was an adolescent, and Kona was from a litter 11 years ago. She was a wonderful companion that was another child to my mom, as with all of her dogs. Her quality of life had diminished greatly over the past year and even more so in the past couple of months. On her last day she enjoyed cheeseburgers and was showered with love. We euthanized her at home where she would be comfortable. She passed peacefully and quietly knowing she was immensely loved. She will be missed.
